OUR WORK WITH WESTERN AUTHORS
Note: We connect Western and Asian voices through carefully selected, non-political works designed for cross-cultural readership.

US Global Connect works with Western authors who are interested in expanding their reach into Asian markets. While global distribution is often discussed in abstract terms, entering a new linguistic and cultural environment requires a structured and market-aware approach. Our role is to help authors navigate this process with clarity and realism.
We focus on identifying opportunities where an author’s work aligns with demonstrated demand in specific regions. Across many Asian markets, there is consistent interest in practical and forward-looking content, particularly in areas such as leadership, business, innovation, finance, and personal development. Works grounded in actionable insights—those that help readers improve skills, advance careers, or better navigate professional and personal challenges—tend to perform most strongly.
In addition to these core categories, certain genres such as popular psychology and select nonfiction titles with clear applicability also show meaningful potential. Fiction may find success when it is accessible and plot-driven, particularly in genres such as thriller, romance, or fantasy, though results are more variable and depend heavily on cultural transferability.
Our involvement typically begins with an assessment of suitability, followed by introductions to relevant publishing partners where appropriate. We also support coordination related to translation and editorial processes, ensuring that expectations are aligned across parties.
US Global Connect does not function as a traditional literary agent. Authors seeking representation for domestic markets are better served through established literary channels, including our affiliated Jade Lotus Literary Agency (JLLA). Instead, our focus is on facilitating cross-border opportunities that extend beyond an author’s primary market.
Authors interested in exploring these opportunities are encouraged to engage with a clear understanding of both market demand and the practical considerations involved in international publishing.
