About US Global Connect, LLC

US Global Connect, LLC (USGC) was founded in 2017 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Dr. Jamshid Hosseini-Chaleshtari — a scholar and practitioner with more than two decades of experience in international education, cross-border business, and academic exchange. As Director of International Business Studies at Marquette University from 1999 to 2017, Dr. Hosseini-Chaleshtari led over seventy global study tours and built lasting institutional relationships across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

USGC was established to apply that network and expertise to a new purpose: facilitating the exchange of intellectual and creative content across national and linguistic boundaries. The organization’s early work focused on educational services and cross-border advisory. In 2025, USGC expanded its mandate to include literary rights and publishing — launching Jade Lotus Literary Agency (JLLA), the first operational division dedicated exclusively to author representation and cross-border literary coordination.

Our Focus

USGC operates as a lightweight, relationship-driven intermediary — not a traditional publisher, not a staffing agency, not a translation bureau. We are a rights and coordination specialist: identifying commercially viable works, connecting them with the right publishers and partners, and managing the editorial and legal processes that bring them to new audiences.

Our geographic focus is Vietnam and broader Asia, with particular depth in the Vietnamese literary market developed through long-standing personal and professional relationships in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and with publishing institutions across the country.

In addition to its rights coordination and literary representation activities, USGC offers Professional Publishing Services for Asian entrepreneurs, executives, consultants, and professionals seeking to publish English-language editions of their business and professional works. This is a fee-for-service production offering — translation, editing, formatting, and Amazon KDP publication support — separate from and complementary to JLLA’s literary representation function. See our Services page for details.

Our Literary Division: Jade Lotus Literary Agency

Jade Lotus Literary Agency (JLLA) is the author-representation arm of USGC, operating under jlla.ink. JLLA represents Asian authors for English-language publication outside their home country. Current represented works span literary fiction, memoir, and speculative fiction. JLLA does not represent political works, documentary journalism, or works previously published in English.

For Western Authors & Content Owners

Vietnam’s reading public is young, educated, and growing, with strong demand for translated Western titles in business and leadership, personal development, technology, and accessible nonfiction. Through our East-West Literary Exchange initiative, USGC introduces commercially viable Western works to vetted publishing partners in Vietnam and broader Asia — managing the introduction process, navigating regulatory requirements, and facilitating rights agreements directly between the rights holder and the acquiring publisher.

No upfront fees. We assess your work honestly and tell you directly if the fit is not strong. See full details and submission process →

History

US Global Connect was established in 2017 to facilitate meaningful connections between individuals, institutions, and ideas across national boundaries. While its earlier activities centered on educational exchanges, the organization has evolved in response to changing global dynamics and emerging opportunities in the exchange of intellectual and creative content.

Today, US Global Connect focuses on enabling the cross-border movement of written works and knowledge-based content, particularly between the United States and Asian markets. This evolution reflects both a shift in global demand and a recognition of the growing importance of translation, cultural context, and intellectual property coordination in international engagement.

Our work is grounded in a practical understanding of how content travels across markets. Successful cross-border publishing requires more than access—it requires alignment between subject matter and audience expectations, clarity in rights and licensing structures, and coordination among multiple stakeholders. US Global Connect operates within this space, supporting the processes that enable such alignment.

We work with authors, publishers, and partners who are seeking to extend their reach beyond domestic markets. Our role is to facilitate introductions, clarify pathways, and support execution without overextending into functions that are better handled by specialized entities.

US Global Connect operates alongside Jade Lotus Literary Agency (JLLA), which serves as the author-facing literary arm. Together, these functions create a complementary structure: JLLA focuses on representation and development, while US Global Connect focuses on cross-border coordination and exchange.
