Western Authors

If you are a Western author, publisher, or rights holder with a commercially strong title and you are interested in reaching readers in Vietnam or broader Asia, USGC’s East-West Literary Exchange initiative may be the right entry point.

The Asian Market Opportunity
Vietnam’s reading public is young, educated, and growing. There is strong documented demand for translated Western titles in business and leadership, personal development, technology, applied psychology, and accessible nonfiction. The publishing infrastructure is well established. What is harder to navigate is the introduction process — identifying the right partners, understanding regulatory requirements, and structuring deals that work for both sides. USGC has that infrastructure and those relationships.
What We Accept
- Business, leadership, and management titles with broad professional applicability
- Personal development, psychology, and self-help with accessible, non-prescriptive framing
- Technology, AI, and future-of-work titles with practical orientation
- Education and academic content aimed at a general professional readership
- Selected literary fiction with demonstrated commercial appeal
What We Do Not Accept
- Political commentary, investigative journalism, or advocacy content
- Works likely to face regulatory or censorship obstacles in the target market
- Highly culture-specific humor or satire unlikely to translate meaningfully
- Works with unresolved rights complications or prior licensing conflicts in Asia
How the Process Works
- Initial consultation: Submit a brief description of your work to jay.hoss@usglobalconnect.com
- Market assessment: We evaluate acquisition potential honestly — if the fit is not strong, we will tell you
- Partner introduction: We introduce your work to vetted publishing partners in Vietnam and broader Asia
- Rights facilitation: Formal agreements negotiated directly between rights holder and acquiring publisher
